Repurposing my Red Team Village Party NFC Bracelet
>_YOU'RE IN.
Welcome to the Red Team Village Party at DEF CON 34! Thank you for joining us—your physical NFC token got you past the guards.
This was my 3rd year attending the Red Team Village Arcade Party, and we were given sweet bracelets instead of lanyard passes this year. I’m a millennial kid and have fond memories of arms LOADED up with jelly bracelets, beads, even the ripped bottom of a friend’s JNCO jeans. This bright RED band is a badge of honor and a keepsake I can actually enjoy again, because it has an NFC chip inside that can be reprogrammed.

So the question turned into WHAT do I want to use this for. My mind was pretty blank. I don’t have an office door keyfob or a smart lock on my home, and my house is fairly dumb as far as stuff like that goes. My Flipper mostly comes in handy for making extra copies of hotel keys when I travel. I decided to host a business card on it instead, since it’s bright and a “cool” tech party trick to share my info by tapping your phone.
Bring in Claude, because who has time to handwrite HTML anymore, or use apps designed to do the same thing but with premiums or ads built in.
Prompt:
make me a digital business card that I can have linked on my website but will be mobile/friendly. I plan to use this with a NTAG series chip

After asking me a few questions, it spit out a cute HTML business card with a color scheme matching my website.

I tested the save contact button on my phone and everything worked as expected, so next I overwrote the NFC chip. I used the NFC Tools app by wakdev (https://www.wakdev.com/en/): +add record, +URL/URI, HTTPS.

And that’s that. Something you can def do without AI, but it only took about 5 minutes of my day. It actually took me longer to write this blog post than it did to figure all that out.
